My number is missing or not working — what to check
The four real reasons a number is absent from the dashboard or stops working, in the order to check them.
If your dashboard shows no number, or a number you had stops working, check these in order — they cover essentially every real case:
- The order is not provisioned yet. A number does not exist until its order completes. If the order shows awaiting documents or in review, it is waiting on KYC — see our article on submitting KYC documents. This is the most common reason a dashboard shows no number.
- The order was rejected. A rejected order never issued a number. Open Settings > Trust Center to see the rejection reason (usually incomplete documents, a mismatched address, or an unsupported number type), fix it, and resubmit.
- The number was released or suspended. Numbers stop working when a subscription lapses or is cancelled — check your subscription status in Billing. A released number cannot always be recovered, so resolve billing promptly if you want to keep it.
- None of the above fits. A small number of older trial accounts were affected by a provisioning fault that left the account active with no number attached. That one is on us — contact support and we will fix it directly; there is no self-serve step.
If you are unsure which case you are in, tell support what the order status shows and we can point you to the right fix immediately.
